4,5 stars.I got it
by mistake. I saw
FBI agent in the blurb and the next moment I clicked the Request-button. As I recognized that I ASKED FOR a FF BOOK, it was already too late. The damaged has been done.
AND I'M SOOO GLAD I HIT THIS DAMN BUTTON!
I'M SOOO GLAD that I decided to read it!
Lily MacPherson managed to catch my attention from the very first page. I liked her way of telling, a bit melancholic but in no case lboring, clear but not plain, thoughtful, sincere. I'd like to read more of this author, that is for sure. She won me.
I enjoyed this book. A LOT. Though I'm grateful that it doesn't shocked me with detailed sex scenes (even though it is not about sex, it is about to find s soul mate and...a serial killer).
I don't want to talk about the plot, you can read the blurb. Besides it is not a long novel, around 90 pages. What I'd like to say is:
-Maybe we should from time to time to step out of our "usual genre" and try something totally completely utterly different?
-Maybe we shouldn't divide our world into straight and gay? And just see THE STORY, HUMANS and THEIR FEELINGS?
I know, it is easier to tell than to do, and my next book will be mostlikely a MM book.
But honestly.
Let us try something different.
Just from time to time.
