Obsession (Darkness Falls, #1) - Ivory Quinn
I hate to give this book only 3*, it’s very well written and I was enjoying the storyline a lot. Until the Chapter 17. It is difficult to explain my point of view without giving away too much, but I was thinking about these book even days after I finished it, and I just have to express myself. If you plan to read it, than just skip this review, stop to read and just forget it.

I still try to understand why the author did choose this way. I could imagine, that Ivory Quinn wanted to achieve something very special, something different, but everything that I was feeling after I’ve read the last page was just a very huge disappointment. It was like the figure of Gabriel started to be too complicated and extreme difficult to substantiate or may be it started to be boring to Ivory Quinn and that is why the simplest solution was just to remove him.

In the middle of the story. Simply so. Without warning.
The only person, that I really did care, the central point of the story, my super alpha-hero, my Gabriel, is gone!!!!

The female character, Noelle, did I tolerate only because of him, I didn’t understand why he fall in love with this boring woman, but I liked him and I tried to accept it. I didn’t care about Jax, the new male figure who probably is going to play a main role in the next book; actually I don’t like him at all.
If it would be only possible!..I would give the author a crazy advice to rewrite the ending, really.
I though a lot about this book, it is why I came to the conclusion that I(know it sounds silly!) the best way is to rewrite the last chapters of the first book. Starting from the moment as Noelle overreacted and the story took an illogical twist. This book could have so much potential! We don’t know a lot about Gabriel, we know that he was dark, but WHY.

There are so many questions left without answers. To make Gabriel come alive means a completely unexpected genre change and doesn’t seem a suitable option in this case. It is why REWRITING is only one reasonable solution!
