This book consists of two novels and the tittle of the book contains both of them.
Whereas I liked the first novel, Burdens
, I was disappointed with the second, Riding With The Wind.
I liked Adam and Phin as a couple in Burdens, but I totally missed them in the second novel.
Instead of them I got a lot of family informations, family history, inclusive two deaths of cancer and one successful breast cancer surgery.
The sudden switch from the third person POV to the first person POV, to the Adam's point of view, in the middle of the second novel was a bit strange.
Somewhere there I lost the connection to the MCs completely.
Though I know there are readers who like this book a lot.
Read Sarah's review
, who has already read it twice!
It has to be something in it, maybe I have not recognized it yet or maybe it was just not my book.
